Sundays at First Christian Church

Sundays are busy at First Christian Church

Our Worship Service begins at 9:45 AM with 15 minutes of singing some of the more contemporary Christian Praise music that has been written.  The spirit of this time is upbeat with some great music.

The Praise and Worship music transitions into a more traditional style of worship  at 10:00 AM with some of the solid hymns of the faith.  Our tradition celebrates Communion every Sunday.  We are part of a movement that desires to reclaim biblical New Testaments principles in worship and believe that each time the early church met for worship they shared in the Lord's Supper.  Pastor Tim is committed to preaching biblical, life changing messages filled with application for every day life.  He uses technology to illustrate his messages that are filled with illustrations from the Bible, life, and humor (which he somewhat feebly attempts).  A nursery is available for children under 5 for parents who choose to utilize this service.

A Junior Church Program is led by various laypeople of the congregation from September through May for children 5 years old through 11 years old.  The Junior Church takes place during the worship service beginning at 10:00 AM.

During the months of June, July and August we add a special service at 8:05 AM (we call it The 8:05) for those who are busy with summer activities and would like to worship early in the morning so that they are able to participate in those activities.  It is an abbreviated service that makes use of the most contemporary Christian music of our day and is generated through a computer with the words displayed on a wall for all to sing.

That certainly makes for a busy Sunday morning but a morning well worth attending,

Our Mission Statement: “The mission of Leipsic First Christian Church is to worship God and proclaim Jesus Christ as our Lord with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We strengthen our personal relationship with God and provide a way for all to know Christ through biblical teaching, outreach, and fellowship.”
